About SATWIP
SATWIP is a fundamentals-focused US stock screener for investors who prefer to analyze a company's actual filings rather than someone else's summary of them. It was built by an individual investor who wanted to screen American businesses on the raw fundamental figures they report — without paying for expensive third-party software and without trusting a data aggregator's interpretation of company filings.
By querying the SEC's EDGAR API directly, SATWIP pulls financial figures from the quarterly and annual reports (10-Qs and 10-Ks) that publicly-traded US companies file — assets, liabilities, revenue, profit, cash flow and more. You set thresholds for financial strength, price, profitability and cash flow, and SATWIP filters thousands of companies down to the ones that meet your criteria.
No middleman and no interpretation: input figures come straight from SEC filings, and the Source Notes feature shows the exact filing and XBRL tag behind each reported figure, so you can verify anything yourself. Screening runs on your machine, and your filters, signals, and saved results stay local and private.
Core functionality is free. SATWIP Premium adds features including fast data fetching, simplified historical financials (top- and bottom-line totals for all periods available in the SEC's XBRL data, typically back to about 2009), and data export.
SATWIP has known limitations. For details, see Help > Known Limitations in the app.
